More than 100,000 fans each year visit Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome to watch the Bison, ranking North Dakota State in the top 10 nationally for attendance in the Football Championship Subdivision. NDSU’s home since 1993, the Fargodome can pack in 19,000 fans for football games. The dome is also a popular stop for major concert tours with seating for as many as 25,000 fans.
Known as one of the loudest environments to play college football, the Fargodome crowd routinely goes over 100 decibels. It is one of the most difficult places in the country for opponents to play. BleacherReport.com named the Fargodome among its top 50 greatest college stadiums in 2011. With more than 240 teams combined in the FBS and FCS, the Fargodome is one of the top venues anywhere to watch Division I football.
